Exercise is a very critical part of the Odissi dance training. We will go over the first three exercises a dancer must know in order to properly train/condition his/her body. For best results, practice once every day for body warm-up.
Dakshyachala – moving the torso to the right. Bamachala – moving the torso to the left. Agrachala – moving the torso to the front. Prusthachala – moving the torso to the back Prachala – moving the torso all around.
